What is your favourite film/TV-show?
What music do you like?
How has CFS affected your education?

Hi My favourite TV-show is all of the CSI, CSI NY series and Law & Order SVU and Criminal Intent series. I like a wide varity of music, except hip hop. Last year I completed Certificate IV in Youth Service, part time over two years. I found it very tough at times to continue my studies due to CFS & fybromyalgia. But I made it with support from my teacher/lectures and family. And many assignmetn extentions. I would be happy to pass on any tips on coping with studies etc, if you would like.
Regards Georgie

LOOK! A second post from Ben!
Favourite TV Show: Hmm hard to pick a favourite, so I'll just list the options Simpsons; Babylon 5; Daria; Red Dwarf; MASH.
Music: I love dance and trance music. I listen to a wide variety of music from clasical to pop.
Education: I dropped out of the normal school system during year 10. I then studied through SIDE for a few years doing a minimal number of subjects. From there (as I was getting better) I went to tafe for a year and a half (ok technically 2 years, but that was tafe's fault). I then went to a private college called Spherion/Computer Power, and they helped me get my current full time job. The sad/funny thing is the college has now gone into voluntary administration.
Ben.

Hi, I'm Claire, TV: One thing I seem to get through a lot of with CFS is TV...there's just something about a good TV show when your feeling um...bad (minus colourful language). My favourites are My Family, Doctor Who/Torchwood and loads of others (mainly British) Music: I'm weird with music, I tend to stick the radio and keep changing channel till I find something I like. Education: I'm also in yr 12...I know what you mean Jess, it's hard with CFS/ME/FM (never had a definative answer to which one I have). I also have Crohn's disease, even more fun to cope with . I manage to cope with 5 half days at school (although some days I do all my subjects, as I have free periods dotted throughout my timetable). Hoping to get into medicine, kinda impossible though with my health... How many subjects are you doing Jess? Will they let you drop a few? (your curriculum may be different to mine as I'm from WA)

I just realised the post before mine was over a year old. This board is still active but are there any members who still use it? I kinda get this feeling of talking to an empty place...

It has been inactive but I'm starting it up again. I have a few personal things to take care of in the next little while and then I'm going to set up a Facebook group so we can keep in touch. I'll also be talking to SIDE and ME/CFS:WA about events and recruitment. For more information check the Update forum. damientonkin.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=suggestions&action=display&thread=13 Ok busness hat off... I love dr who torchwood et al. I noticed that the ABC shop are bringing in Sarah Jane DVDs, about time, I don't know what it would be like, it seems a bit kiddyfied but it would be worth a look. I’m kind of a geek, I’m actually going to the supanova expo www.supanova.com.au/ in a couple of weeks, even making a costume (I’m not that much of a geek I just have a lot of time on my hands and thought it would be a laugh). If you’re in the area and you’ve got the energy it’s a fun day out.

It's great that chrysalis is active again. It's good to talk to others going through the same thing (I'm in contact with others who suffer crohn's, as I also crohn's disease sufferer, and it is really helpful). I think the main thing is trying to inform the community that chrysalis exists, I didn't even know there was a CFS/ME society in WA till 2 years after I was diagnosed, let alone a group for younger sufferers, so I think any means to recruit memebrs would be good. Yeah, I like Doctor Who/Torchwood, although I haven't really enjoyed any other sci-fi (the closest to another sci-fi I enjoy is Sailor Moon, although thats more anime than anything). I have watched a couple of episodes of Sarah Jane adventures on foxtel, they were kinda like doctor who except based on kids, so good, but not as good as doctor who (better than most kids tv though). I just joined the chrysalis facebook group. This post turned out to be a little longer than expected...

I made quite a splash at supanova with my costume, I'll post some pictures when I'm fully recovered.
